What is the purpose of embalming?
The goal and purpose of embalming is to sustain and preserve your loved ones body as best as possible in the "natural" state before decomposition. This helps keep your loved looking presentable for for the funeral service.
Can I scatter the cremated remains?
Yes, cremated remains can be scattered. The unique thing about the remains it can be saved in a souvenir container or jewelry such as a necklace, bracelet, ring anything of your choosing. Many people take a final trip with the remains as that was a final request of their loved one and spread it across the waters, beach or even into the night sky.
What do I do when a death occurs?
Take your time to reflect and have a moment to process what you are going through. Many have made arrangements with funeral homes/or family members of what to do next. Mart-Elite Funeral home was established in August 2016 by a young man, Marthum. Living and growing up in the parish of St. Catherine's Jamaica, he saw the changes happening amongst the loss of family members and loved ones.
